Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has wished Stiliyan Petrov all the best in his recovery from acute leukaemia.
The Aston Villa captain was diagnosed with the blood cell cancer on Friday with supporters of the club showing their full support for him on Saturday as Villa and Chelsea clashed in the West Midlands.
Cech admits it was a great atmosphere created for Petrov at Villa Park and hopes that the Bulgarian can make a quick recovery.
"Petrov is one of the most popular Villa players so they had enormous motivation to win it for him.
"What happened to him is a huge tragedy and we all wish him a successful fight in the most difficult match of his career.""Obviously you could sense it in the atmosphere at the stadium," he told the club's official website.
