Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech believes the Southwest London club has a deep enough squad to contest for a number of titles this season.
The Blues are third on the Premier League table following yesterday's 5-1 win at Bolton and have taken four points from two games in the Champions League including Wednesday's draw at Valencia.
Cech is confident that the quality of players at Stamford Bridge is good enough to challenge for silverware in what should prove to be a very difficult season.
"I am glad we have such a big and high quality squad because that is exactly what we need to be able to target the top places in all competitions," he said.
"There is an enormous amount of fixtures and you can't go through them with just 15 players.
"We need a well-balanced squad with the right number of players to spread the match burden on all players. With this squad this is an advantage we have currently."
