Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech admits he sometimes questions his sanity playing injured in the past.
Cech played on in Chelsea's 2005-06 Barclays Premier League-winning season despite fracturing both shoulders.
He said: "You always know if someone hits you, it is going to be painful.
"I played 14 months with both shoulders broken and sometimes I'm thinking, 'How did I manage to do that?'.
"But I did because I wanted to be part of the team that won back-to-back titles and I didn't want to rest.
"If you can still do it, and your head is ready to accept the pain, then you can do."
