Chelsea keeper Cech happy with headgear

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is happy to play in his specially-designed headgear.

Cech must wear a protective helmet and chin strap to ensure his safety against further head injuries.

But he insists he will not be beaten by bad luck this season and said would go to any lengths to help the Blues reach the Champions League final.

The Czech Republic stopper has already called this his 'worst season' ever in terms of getting hurt - but he can see a possible silver lining.

He said: "I'm now really happy and enjoying every moment.

"I've been quite unlucky this season with injuries and I couldn't wait to be back.

"Some people say I look a bit funny with my head guard and the chin strap but, if I have to play with all my face covered, I'd be happy.

"I'm just happy to be on the pitch."
