Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is delighted by the fact that the club basically has two new quality signings.
Gary Cahill has completed his much talked about shift from Bolton whilst Michael Essien returned from a long stint on the sidelines with a late cameo against Sunderland on the weekend and Cech is buoyed by the fact that Andre Villas-Boas has a pair of new players at his disposal.
"It's been a tough time for Michael, getting injured again and again, and the cruciate ligament is not what you wish on any footballer.
"So big credit to the medical staff and especially to Michael for getting back so soon. It's great to have him back.
"With Gary, he's an international defender, an English defender, and you always welcome internationals into the fold because it improves the squad.""They'll basically be two new players for us," Cech said.
