Chelsea have jumped into the battle for RB Salzburg defender Dayot Upamecano.

The 18 year-old Frenchman has been a revelation in Austria this season and been linked with Barcelona and Arsenal.

BILD says Chelsea are also interested as they compete with RB Leipzig for the former Valenciennes prospect.

Leipzig are attempting to close a January deal for the teen, but face stiff competition from Chelsea.

From France, it was claimed Upamecano rejected an offer from Arsenal last week.
