Chelsea have joined the battle for Birmingham City goalkeeper Jack Butland.

The Mirror says Chelsea have reportedly joined Southampton and Liverpool in the race to sign Butland.

The 19-year-old is widely expected to leave the Championship club this week and is available for £6million, with half paid up front.

Chelsea view him as cheap back-up for experienced No Petr Cech and rising stat Thibaut Courtois who is on loan at Atletico Madrid.
