Chelsea, Inter target Eduardo Vargas declares he's joining Napoli
Universidad de Chile striker Eduardo Vargas has declared he's joining Napoli.
The Chile international was being linked with Inter Milan and Chelsea.
“They are a great Italian side and I’m sure I’ll do very well there. I already know Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi, while I am very happy that the negotiations concluded so quickly.
“Europe is a dream come true for me.”
Universidad de Chile owner Carlos Herrera said: “It is an honour to sell Vargas to the same club that Diego Armando Maradona played for. He is going to a side where he’ll have a great shop window and will not stay with us for the Copa Libertadores.
“The contracts have not yet been signed, but they will be before Monday.”“Napoli await me,” Vargas told Radio Cooperativa. “I send an embrace to all the Universidad de Chile fans, but I am very happy to be a new Azzurri player.
