Chelsea injury crisis ahead of Man Utd clash

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is facing an early injury crisis with 12 players in danger of missing Sunday's Community Shield clash with Manchester United.

Michael Ballack and Wayne Bridge have already ruled out and Mourinho is staring at a major shortage of players ahead of the Wembley clash.

Skipper John Terry, still struggling with a toe problem, was one of six men who sat out of training yesterday ahead of tonight's friendly with Brondby in Copenhagen.

Andriy Shevchenko, Paulo Ferreira and knee victims Arjen Robben, Claude Makelele and Michael Essien were all missing.
