Chelsea winger Kevin de Bruyne is expected to return to Germany in January.
The Daily Star says sources in Germany revealed last night that Chelsea's out-of-favour Belgium midfielder was set to quit the Blues after just half a season.
It is understood that, after talks with the club, the 22-year-old - who played the entire 120 minutes of the 2-1 Capital One Cup defeat at Sunderland on Tuesday - has been told he can go.
There is likely to be no shortage of clubs in Germany interested, with Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund trying to get him in the summer.
