CHELSEA IN THE US: Lampard - Terry and Drogba were the biggest influences

Chelsea legend Frank Lampard believes that John Terry and Didier Drogba were the biggest influences during his time at Stamford Bridge.

Lampard, now with MLS club New York City FC, was speaking during a Q&A with Chelsea fans in a New York bar and revealed how Terry and Drogba used to keep things under control in the Blues' dressing room.

Lampard said: "I've got to say I loved playing with JT. You could always rely on him to defend. He was the best defender in the Premier League and still is; and has been all the way through.

"He can play left foot, right foot and leads from the dressing room out to the pitch. So much comes from John. He's an all time great.'

"[Drogba] and John are the ones I'd put up there because of their influence not only on the pitch but in the dressing room. Didier was a monster.

"On the pitch he always performed on the big stage, delight to play with.

"He was a massive link in the dressing room because in the modern day dressing room we have people from all over the world - people from France, a few African boys.

"Me and John had the English bit locked down but we needed a bit of help from Didier to bring it all together and he did that."
