Montreal Impact are into Major League Soccer's Eastern Conference Final after defeating New York Red Bull on Sunday.
The Canadian club beat the Red Bulls 2-1 at Red Bull Arena courtesy of a double from Ignacio Piatti to progress to the next round of the play-offs 3-1 on aggregate which will see them take on rivals Toronto FC.
Chelsea legend Didier Drogba came off the bench to help the Impact move through to the Eastern Conference Championship game for the first time in the club's history.
Earlier in the contest, Impact keeper Evan Bush made a stunning save to deny Red Bulls star Sacha Kljestan from the penalty spot before Piatti made the home side pay on 51 minutes when he produced a stunning piece of skill before driving into the area and firing an unstoppable swerving effort beyond Luis Robles.
16 minutes later, the competition's Golden Boot winner Bradley Wright-Phillips was at his deadly best to get New York back into the contest at 2-1 overall before Drogba took control by sliding a lovely ball into the path of Piatti who emphatically powered home for the win.
The Impact finished fifth on the Eastern Conference table but have now progressed to the Conference decider where they will meet Canadian rivals Toronto in the first leg at Montreal's Olympic Stadium on November 22.
