Chelsea hoping to extend deal for Stoch

Chelsea are hoping to extend the contract of Miroslav Stoch according to his agent Milan Lednicky.

The 20-year old Slovakia international is currently on a season-long loan with Dutch club FC Twente but is still under contract at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2011.

Lednicky says that the Blues are keen to tie down a deal for the promising midfielder but admits things will become clearer during spring.

"It should be a long-term contract," he said on the player's official website.

"However, it is of no importance to reveal more at the moment. The situation will be clearer some time during the spring."

Stoch seemed buoyant when asked about Chelsea's proposed long-term interest in him.

"It flatters me that Chelsea stay interested in my services," he said. "Which player would not be flattered? Chelsea are a top club.

"We will surely discuss the offer with my agent and will consider this option. My priority is to play regularly."
