Chelsea hero Wilkins wants more Scots in Premier League

Former Chelsea and Rangers icon Ray Wilkins wants to see more Scots working in the Premier League.

Wilkins is still out of the game after being axed by Chelsea three months ago. He takes in English matches every week and would love to see more of a Scottish influence down south.

He told the Sunday Mail: "The game down here is lacking the Jocks we used to see.

"Liverpool had guys like Alan Hansen, Kenny Dalglish and Souness. Nottingham Forest had John Robertson and Kenny Burns.

"When I was at Old Trafford we had Martin Buchan, Lou Macari, Joe Jordan, Arthur Albiston and Gordon McQueen.

"A number of Scots are in the Premiership now but more need to be involved with the top sides."
