Chelsea hero Ray Wilkins hopes Frank Lampard stays at Stamford Bridge. Wilkins insists that he can't understand why the Blues wouldn't want to keep a player like Lampard, but feels he will have no shortage of options should he leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
"I'm sure there are loads of clubs queuing up to take Frank to be perfectly honest," Wilkins told talkSPORT.
"I can't understand why Chelsea would want to release him from his contract. I would certainly be offering him a new contract if I was still involved, but I'm not and that's the club's policy.
"Frank, I'm sure, is a wanted man by lots and lots of Premier League clubs and not only them but European clubs as well.
"A lot of guys are saying his legs are gone but I can't see that, personally. I agree with Roy Hodgson. I heard his press conference, he still has the legs he had five years ago.
"He can still get up and down the pitch and the one thing Frank Lampard will give you from midfield is a goal, and he scored the winning goal last night."
