Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel is being linked to a return to the Premier League.
The Daily Star says Obi Mikel has been linked with a return to the Premier League.
Everton have been mooted as a potential destination, but Mikel has moved quickly to rubbish such speculation, telling Tianjin TV: "I don't know from where such a rumour could come, but this story is untrue.
"I want to stay in the CSL and play for [Tianjin] Teda. I'm sure there will be lots of speculation about me as the transfer window nears but it is a false rumour.
"The CSL lags behind the Premier League, but their level is still quite high. I believe more matches will help me get in shape for the 2018 World Cup.
"I just hope to stay injury free next year and have an amazing season with Teda."
