Chelsea hero Glenn Hoddle: Diego Costa won't be tempted by China

Chelsea hero Glenn Hoddle can't see Diego Costa being tempted by a Chinese move.

Hoddle wrote for the Daily Mail: "Costa has been reintegrated into training and is likely be back in the team on Sunday against Hull.

"They seem to have played on his competitive spirit and reckoned that a battle-hardened centre forward would ultimately be reluctant to give up a title fight.

"It's a risk as any player can be swayed by the huge amounts of money that are on offer in China. But at 28, Costa would be giving up playing in an elite league at his peak. It's not like Carlos Tevez, who is 32 and near the end of his career.

"Having moved to Monaco, though crucially after 13 years at Tottenham, I wouldn't criticise those who seek a move abroad to challenge themselves.

"I had always wanted to play abroad and experience the difference. And compared with England at the time, the money was also good in Monaco. But it was not main reason for moving."
