Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has taken to Twitter to hail Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah for his performance for the Egypt national team during the weekend, which ensured that the country qualified for the World Cup for the first time since 1990.
Salah opened the scoring for his country to put them 1-0 up. However Bouka Motou scored in the 87th minute to silence the crowd of 80,000 at the Stadium.
Egypt managed to earn themselves a penalty in the 95th minute and Salah made no mistake in terms of converting from the spot to ensure an historic victory for his country.
Drogba will know Salah as the two played together at Chelsea during the 2014/15 season before Salah was sent on loan to Fiorentina.
