Chelsea midfielder Claude Makelele is convinced they have Liverpool's measure ahead of tomorrow's Champions League semi.

"This time it can be different," Makelele told Chelsea's website. "I think the team knows the way Liverpool play in the Champions League.

"We know some details must be different in this semi-final compared with the past and we must play like Liverpool have played and be strong physically and tactically - and keep out of trouble as well. Before we have helped Liverpool win and Chelsea must forget the years before.

"Last year, Chelsea played very well but we needed two goals at Stamford Bridge, this was the problem.

"Now the first game is in Liverpool and if we can not conceded a goal there we will have a good chance at home. The atmosphere at Stanford Bridge, it is good this season and the team senses the fans."
