Chelsea are reportedly considering a possible mid-season managerial change.

According to The Telegraph, owner Roman Abramovich is pondering who the club can bring to West London in if they decide to part ways with Jose Mourinho during the current campaign.

The Portuguese has the reigning Premier League champions sitting 16th on the table having won just four and lost nine of their 16 fixtures thus far, prompting speculation regarding his future at Stamford Bridge.

It is understood that Chelsea have commenced the process of pulling together a contingency plan for a potential Mourinho sacking with their list consisting of some familiar Blues names.

Carlo Ancelotti, who led the club to the 2010 Premier League title, is believed to be one option alongside Guus Hiddink who is seen as more of an experienced caretaker following his spell at the club in 2009.

The aforementioned pair are being considered because Chelsea's prime targets - Bayern Munich's Pep Guardiola, Atletico Madrid's Diego Simeone and Italy's Antonio Conte - are currently employed and would not leave before their ongoing roles before the summer.

Also linked with the Blues job are Southampton boss Ronald Koeman and Sevilla's Unai Emery who are considered as 'less ambitious' targets.
