Chelsea are eager to boost their English numbers in 2016.
The Daily Star says Chelsea used to have a plethora of English stars including John Terry, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole, Joe Cole and Wayne Bridge.
With Terry nearing the end of his career, the Premier League champions would only have Gary Cahill as a recognised first-team Englishman.
Chelsea are interested in signing John Stones from Everton despite failing to secure a deal in the summer when the England international handing in a transfer request.
They are also looking to the future with Ruben Loftus-Cheek who has had several opportunities in the first-team this season.
