Chelsea are getting a free run at Feyenoord star Royston Drenthe.
Feyenoord chief Peter Vogelzang admitted yesterday that Real Madrid "does not want to, or are incapable of meeting our demands for the player's transfer".
AS says Chelsea's latest bid - believed to be over £8 million - has seen Real all but give up on signing Drenthe.
Chelsea football chiefs Frank Arnesen and Piet de Visser are both driving the London club's capture of the U21 European Championship star.
