Chelsea youngster Patrick van Aanholt is grateful to count on Ashley Cole as a senior teammate.
Like Cole, Van Aanholt is a left-back and can't help but learn from the England star.
He told chelseafc.com: "Having Ashley around has been amazing. Every time I see him play and see him train I am learning from him and that is good because he is one of the best in the world and can tell you exactly what to do.
"He can remember being my age and he's trying to help me and give me some information. He says when he was my age he was the same as me, very good going forward and that as soon as you get older you will get used to defending, and that is what I am trying to do, I am learning it now.
"We get on very well me and Ashley, he is my good friend and some days we just chill out or talk on the phone."
