Chelsea fullback Marcos Alonso was happy to be part of victory at Middlesbrough.

It's been a fine start to life at Chelsea for Alonso, who has been part of a winning side in every game since making his full debut at Hull last month. He impressed on Teesside yesterday.

"After the international break it was important to play with the right concentration and I think the team did brilliantly to get through the game 100 per cent focused," said the left wing-back to chelseafc.com.

"It's two weeks since our last game and we needed to get that momentum back. While the game was going on we improved and we ended up playing good football.

"It's working very well, I have to run a lot but we are not conceding and we're creating lots of chances. I'm very happy to be helping the team and to be winning. We have to keep going like this."
