Chelsea fullback Jose Bosingwa is proud of his role in their Champions League triumph.

The Portuguese, after a difficult season, was outstanding in the final against Bayern Munich.

"It was a very difficult game, after conceding the goal I thought it would be difficult to equalize. Then, Didier Drogba scored dramatically. Villas-Boas in the summer said we would be European champions.

"They said that the team was old, but we have managed a successful season, with two titles.

"Missing selection for the European Championship? I'll see it from sofa and I think it will be spectacular, I wish every good fortune to my countrymen."
