Chelsea fullback Abdul Rahman Baba is in Germany today for Schalke talks.

Sky Deutschland says contract negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing, with Schalke hoping to land the player on an 18-month loan deal.

Baba spent last season on loan with the Bundesliga club, making 13 appearances for Schalke as they finished 10th in Germany's top flight.

The Ghana international still has a house in Gelsenkirchen and Schalke head coach Dominico Tedesco believes it will be straightforward to secure the 23-year-old's signature once the two clubs reach an agreement.
