Chelsea fringe players angry with Conte over Man Utd snub

Chelsea's fringe players are upset with manager Antonio Conte.

The Sun says the outcasts are furious after being axed for the FA Cup quarter-final against Manchester United.

Conte picked his strongest side for the 1-0 win over Jose Mourinho's Red Devils at Stamford Bridge.

In the early rounds, the Italian played a sprinkling of fringe players against Peterborough, Brentford and Wolves.

But Conte went full strength against United — and Blues duly reached the FA Cup semi-final and will now play London rivals Tottenham at Wembley next month.

John Terry, Kurt Zouma, Asmir Begovic and Nathaniel Chalobah were among those left out for the United clash.

Conte decided he could not take any risks with Mourinho returning to the Bridge and played his first-choice side instead.

That left a number of Chelsea stars miffed with their manger after being overlooked for another high-profile fixture.
