Chelsea reserves coach Dermot Drummy expects defender Carl Magnay to sign for Gateshead.

At the end of 2011, central defender Magnay left the club.

"Carl has gone back up north and I think he will probably sign at Gateshead," Drummy told chelseafc.com.

"He was a wonderful lad to have around and showed a lot of great character coming back from some serious injuries. He lived the dream for five years after winning Football Icon and he'll be sorely missed because he's a lovely, bubbly personality. The lads will miss him and we wish him all the best."
