Chelsea feel Patrick Bamford has already outgrown MK Dons.
Bamford has been rattling in goals in League One for Karl Robinson's team, but the Stamford Bridge club want to see him at Championship level, says the Mirror.
Dons have been happy to have Bamford for a second loan spell but will have to plan without him, with Chelsea currently sorting out his next move.
