Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel is set to miss the season after suffering a serious knee injury.
The Daily Mail says Chelsea fear Van Ginkel has suffered a cruciate ligament injury that will keep him out for the rest of the season after he was taken off at Swindon in their 2-0 Capital One Cup win at Swindon on Tuesday night.
Van Ginkel tried to play on after suffering the injury in the first half but was replaced by Ramires - also taken off at half-time with injury - midway through the first half.
