Chelsea aren't confident of Frank Lampard following John Terry's lead in signing a new contract.
The Sunday Mirror says Lampard's advisers are deliberately pricing him out of a new contract in order to facilitate a move abroad by demanding a reported £150,000 a week to stay at the club.
A source said: "Someone needs to take a reality check. The demands are unreasonable and excessive and no one will be allowed to hold a loaded gun to the club's head."
The impasse has alerted Barcelona and Juventus.
