Chelsea fans have made it clear they do not want Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney signed.

The Daily Star says Jose Mourinho is set to return to Chelsea next month but thoughts of splashing the cash on Manchester United star Rooney are preoccupying supporters' thoughts.

A thread on fans' forum theshedend.com entitled 'Is Rooney worth a punt?' has attracted more than 10,000 views - and the answer is a resounding 'no'.

Comments include 'I don't want Rooney anywhere near CFC - the thought depresses me', 'I would hate for us to get him even if it was for free' and one fan blasts Rooney as 'another flop waiting to happen'.

Other fans have launched into four-letter tirades hammering the England striker.
