The 20 year-old Brazilian is a long-term target for Chelsea and attracted serious interest last summer.
Chelsea had scouts in the stands to see Bernard in action against Copa Libertadores opponents Arsenal de Sarandi, but were joined by representatives from Inter Milan and AC Milan.
