Chelsea eye shock move for Arsenal forward Giroud

Chelsea are eyeing a shock January move for Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud.

The France international came close to joining Everton in the summer, but he opted to stay in London.

The 31-year-old has played as a back-up to Alexandre Lacazette so far this Premier League season as Arsene Wenger aims to keep competition high at the club.

But Don Balon claims that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is keen to pry Giroud away from Arsenal in the winter.

The Blues currently only have two recognised strikers - Alvaro Morata and Michy Batsuahyi - and after recent injury scares to Morata, Conte is reportedly anxious to boost his depth.
