Chelsea are unlikely to face UEFA action over chants from their fans at RacingGenk this week.
The London Evening Standard says UEFA confirmed today neither their match delegate nor referee Svein Oddvar Moen made any mention in their reports of the abuse levelled at the Queens Park Rangers defender at Genk's Cristal Arena.
The governing body said they could still investigate if "any other piece of evidence of such chanting be made available", even though it would appear to be difficult to prove categorically that the taunts were racially motivated.
Some Chelsea fans were heard singing, "Anton Ferdinand, you know what you are", in an apparent show of support for captain John Terry, who is under police investigation over allegations he racially abused Ferdinand during last month's west London derby.
A Chelsea spokesman said: "The chants were wholly inappropriate. We do not condone it."
Darren Mantle, of leading fans site cfcnet, said: "John's going through a lot off the pitch so I don't think it helps to be reminded of it in the stadium."
