Chelsea are being linked with Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero.
The Sun says Chelsea have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Aguero after it emerged the Atletico Madrid forward will NOT be joining rivals Real this summer.
Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti is a big admirer of the 22-year-old attacker, who has smashed 67 goals in 168 games since joining Atletico from Argentinian side Independiente in 2006.
Aguero - nicknamed Kun - only signed a contract extension in January, pledging his future to the club until the summer of 2014.
But that has not put Chelsea or Jose Mourinho's Real off from trying to lure the talented attacker away from the Vicente Calderon Stadium. The news paves the way for Chelsea to launch a summer raid for the star, with the long-term futures of Stamford Bridge hitmen Nicolas Anelka and Didier Drogba in doubt.
