Chelsea see captain John Terry as a future manager.
The Sunday Mirror says Chelsea intend to groom Terry as a future manager instead of showing him the door when his contract expires in the summer of 2014.
Owner Roman Abramovich has always admired Terry's leadership qualities and strongly believes he will eventually make the transition from player to boss at the Premier League club.
Those thoughts are also endorsed by Chelsea's technical director Michael Emenalo who feels Terry's leadership skills need not be limited to the pitch.
