Chelsea are believed to be the new frontrunners to sign Brazilian starlet Gabriel Barbosa.

The Daily Mirror reports that the Santos striker has told Chelsea that he would like to join them this summer, despite interest from Arsenal and Juventus.

Dubbed 'Gabigol' for his prolific scoring ways in his homeland, the 19-year-old is rated as one of the hottest prospects in football right now, and is believed to be open to a move to the Premier League.

Santos are keen for Barbosa to sign a two-year extension but a £25million offer previously lodged by Chelsea cold prompt them to part ways.

Antonio Conte has already signed Michy Batshuayi from Marseille for over £33m but it is understood that the Blues are very keen on Barbosa, even if they do happen to keep Diego Costa from returning to Atletico Madrid.
