Chelsea ease into next stage of Champions League

Chelsea secured their progress from Group F of the Champions League with a comprehensive 4-1 win over Spartak Moscow at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues maintained their 100% record in this season's Champions League with all the goals coming in the second half.

Nicolas Anelka opened the scoring before Didier Drogba earned and fired home a penalty.

Branislav Ivanovic then added a brace to a ensure the comfortable win and keep the Blues impressive unbeaten run at home in the Champions League group stages to 22.

Nikita Bazhenov's late consolation was just that for the Russian visitors.
