Chelsea are hoping to extend the stay of Ruben Loftus-Cheek according to The Telegraph.
The 19-year-old midfielder is contracted with the Blues until the summer of 2017 but it is believed that the West London club want to tie him down for longer.
Lotus-Cheek scored his first senior goal for Chelsea in the weekend's 2-0 FA Cup third-round win over Scunthorpe United and is likely to be given more opportunities by interim boss Guus Hiddink as the season progresses.
Chelsea want the academy graduate to remain at Stamford Bridge for the foreseeable future and are willing to offer him up to £40,000-a-week according to the report.
Lotus-Cheek has been with the club since he was eight and it appears as though the reigning Premier League champions are determined to continue their relationship with the Lewisham-born England U21 international.
