Chelsea are lining up a bid for Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala. The Daily Express says Mangala, a 22-year-old France international, has been linked with a host of top European sides including Manchester United and Manchester City.
David Moyes is thought to be considering a New Year bid for Mangala, but he could be pipped to the post by Chelsea rival Jose Mourinho.
The Blues see Mangala as a potential long-term replacement for the ageing John Terry and have extensively scouted the powerful defender over the last 12 months.
