Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma has enjoyed testing himself in different roles this preseason.

Zouma has performed well in midfield as well as in central defence for Chelsea and he has a past history of playing right-back. For the final half-hour against Barcelona he was left-back as Cesar Azpilicueta was given some well-earned rest.

He told chelseafc.com: "It is a new position for me, I played there only one time when I was at Vaulx-En-Velin, but I have to help the team and the boss put me at left-back and it was not a problem.

"I just wanted to play and enjoy the game and the most important thing was that we win and I could help the team."
