Chelsea and England captain John Terry was delighted with his winning goal against Ukraine last night.
Terry struck his winner after Peter Crouch's opener had been cancelled out by former Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko.
Terry declared: "I said in the week Shevchenko posed a big threat but we're delighted with the way we came back.
"We have two more games before we go to Ukraine and if we win those we are in a great position in the group.
"You can see there is a huge difference in the way we are playing and the confidence in the team compared to the European Championship qualifiers. Everyone plays with a smile on their face.
"The manager's made a few changes on and off the pitch and things are going well. When that happens players are happy, playing their natural game and that's what we've been doing."
Terry also saluted the Wembley crowd for getting behind their side after Ukraine equalised.
He added: "It was a great show of desire from the players tonight. At 1-0 it was too easy for us and they didn't pose much threat at all. But when they scored you have to admire the fight we showed.
"We got a lift from the fans. It could have been the case that, at 1-1, we would have walked away happy with that result.
"We got a push from the fans. And the kick up the backside we gave ourselves at 1-1 helped us go on and get the winning goal and, overall, we're really pleased."
