Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso admits he expects to return to Madrid when he retires.
Alonso has made the left wingback role his own, making 13 appearances and scoring one goal.
He told the club's website: “My home city is Madrid and when I finish playing football that's where I will live, but there are some lovely places to go on holiday.
“Formentera, an island off Ibiza, is amazing.
“The Canary Islands, where you have good weather all year round, are great.
“I also like Santander, which is where my father is from.
“It's a great city, it's not very big but I really enjoy it when I go there."
