Chelsea play at the Etihad Stadium a week today and will return there for a fifth-round FA Cup tie on the weekend of February 15-16.
"They must feel pressure. When you know a big game is coming up and you know you're playing at home and must win, it's a different kind of feeling and preparation for the game. We must use that [against them].
"Sometimes it's good to have this kind of challenge so you can see where you are [as a team]. It's important we play as a team to be on top of our game and show more than we do normally to be successful.
"They are doing well but we have stayed in touch. We know how hard these games will be and how important they will be psychologically. We must be ready for that. These are the games for big guys, for big players."
