Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic expects to be fresh for their preseason.
Having represented his country in South Africa last summer like many of his team-mates, it is the first extended break he has enjoyed in two years, yet he is still looking forward to getting back down to work and heading off to Asia on our summer tour.
"It is an important thing for every footballer to holiday and break, so you can freshen your body and get new motivation for a good pre-season and to start the season well and remain at the same level all year," explained the former Lokomotiv Moscow man to chelseafc.com.
"This is why we go away, it was interesting last time we were in Asia,' he said, looking back on our time in China and Malaysia. 'It was the first time I played for Chelsea, and it was important for me to become a proper part of the team.
"Pre-season is always important and it can give you confidence, and it will be good for us to be away together like a team."
