Ricardo Carvalho says Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari just needs a little luck to turn results around.

The Portugal defender told Chelsea TV: "It is similar because you don't change too much but here you have more time to work. There you have just maximum one month during the competitions, sometimes one week, sometimes three days so he couldn't do too much.

"Here you have more time to work with him but I was working already much time with him, five years, and he did a fantastic job in Portugal. I hope he will succeed here and if he does I will be happy because he is a good person. He needs a little bit of luck that everyone needs so I hope luck in 2009 is coming for us."
