Chelsea defender Gary Cahill is excited about what lies ahead of him this season.
Cahill is certainly up for the challenge on all fronts and suddenly doesn't see being forced to take a break this summer quite so negatively as before.
He explained to the London Evening Standard: "One of the positives of my injury is that I have come into the season nice and fresh. I would still rather have gone to the Euros, but I know this is another big season for me and taking some time out did me no harm.
"I have had a good rest in the summer and I know there could be a lot of games for me for club and country, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
"Just looking at Chelsea alone there is the Fifa World Club Cup, the Champions League, all the Premier League games and cup matches. We have already had to squeeze the Reading game in earlier because we had the Uefa Super Cup against Atletico Madrid last week.
"But there are also England's World Cup qualifiers that I hope to play a part in, so potentially I have a lot of matches to play this season."
