Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen is hoping for more progress this coming season.

The young Dane was on the bench for the final game of the Premier League season against Everton and also played Manchester City twice during the club's US tour.

"The level is high throughout the club, but to train with the first team players, of course, you have to raise the bar further. It becomes enough simply to stay up with them," Christensen told bold.dk.

"I also expect to play U21 matches and Youth Cup matches in the coming season, but I would like to be around the first team squad for some of the matches. That is my goal."
