Chelsea have been left reeling after Alvaro Morata joined his Real Madrid teammates for their pre-season tour of the United States.
The Blues had turned their focus to the Spaniard after their primary target, Romelu Lukaku, joined Manchester United.
Morata had been a long-term target for Manchester United, with Real reportedly willing to off-load the player to help raise funds for other transfers.
The 24-year old still managed to score 20 goals across all competitions for Los Blancos, despite being used sporadically by Zinedine Zidane last season.
